Let’s Look at Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing:
About: A popular Affiliate Marketing Course from millionaire blogger Michelle Schroeder-Gardner.
Price: $197, or two payments of $99
Pros: Active and supportive community, some decent lessons.
Cons: Shallow, generic training. Few particles example. Missing crucial info.
Verdict: A disappointing course that should have been a $10 eBook.
Who is Michelle Schroder-Gardner?
Michelle Schroeder-Gardner is an American blogger who earns $100,000 or more each month?
She launched her blog, Making Sense of Cents, in 2011 at the age of 22.
What is making Sense of Affiliate Marketing?
How to Earn Affiliate Income from Your Blog is Michelle
Schroeder-premium Gardner’s course.
What is the cost of Making Sense of Affiliate?
The one-time cost is $197 dollars, or you can pay two
payments of $99 dollars.
Those are the pricing on the course sales page.
Your lifetime access to the software includes all future upgrades.
Additional Pricing to this course:
You can buy the course and get a full refund if you are not happy.
Unlike Wealthy Affiliate, they have no refund policy.
After signing up for the course, you are recommended to spend money on additional items and services.
The Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing sales page does
not disclose these fees.
How is the course structured?
There are 6 modules, 40+ courses, and a bonus.
You also get access to a private Facebook community.
Does Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing any Good?
No way. Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is more of a checklist than a practical guide on affiliate marketing.
Here are the biggest issues I found:
· The training is superficial and lacks in-depth courses or step-by-step directions.
· The training mostly informs you WHAT to do, but seldom HOW.
· The course offers’ no SEO instruction.
· Several hidden charges.
· Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is NOT “a terrific instructional tool” for beginning bloggers.
The course is OK but did fall short of my expectations compared with Wealthy Affiliate.
Once you join Wealthy Affiliate and have a premium account you don’t have to spend extra money everything is included.
As mentioned above even when you stay with the Free membership you can still earn money.
You have nothing to lose not one dime.
What about a Refund?
This course has a 30-day money-back guarantee. To get it, you must prove “you completed the course and took action.”
To request a refund, you just email firstname.lastname@example.org
Is there praise for making sense of Affiliate marketing?
The course isn’t perfect, but let’s start with some positives.
One of the nicest features is the private Facebook group.
There are many aspiring affiliate marketers there, as well as regular articles from Michelle.
After enrolling in the course, you must request to join the Facebook group. (It takes around 24 hours.)
As mentioned above Wealthy Affiliate also has a vibrant community to help you and a 24/7 support team.
But the group has certain flaws:
That most users are new to affiliate marketing and lack the expertise to contribute is apparent.
After attending Michelle’s course and finding it inadequate, I am suspicious of her comments and ideas.
This Facebook group is probably the best place to meet others.
And new affiliate marketers, but it isn’t a great source of affiliate marketing guidance or knowledge.
Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing contains no grey or black-hat marketing practices or strategies.
Michelle always advises honesty and ethics.
She promotes to always promote quality products.
The course also covers:
· Norms and disclosures
· Nofollow Nexus tax
Overall, Michelle seems willing to assist her pupils to avoid difficulty and unethical marketing techniques.
Unlike affiliate marketing schools like Wealthy Affiliate and ClickBank University.
I’ve been using Wealthy Affiliate for a while now and can vouch for its lack of unscrupulous marketing practices.
Free Updates for Lifetime:
Unlike some other affiliate marketing courses, Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is a one-time fee.
You receive lifelong access to all course materials, the exclusive community, and future upgrades after paying upfront.
Of course, the training is lacking, and the course hasn’t been updated since 2016.
It promises to be “the step-by-step affiliate marketing strategy course,” however the content is lacking in depth and specificity.
Better training on almost every subject covered in the course is accessible online.
Michelle’s class “Teaching with Tutorials” is maybe the greatest example.
I was thrilled about this class after reading the MSoAM sales page:
Sadly, the lecture was just 612 words long, with no screenshots…
Telling, not showing:
The book makes numerous claims and suggestions but provides few references or comprehensive instructions.
Unlike Wealthy Affiliate where there are Video Presentations and live training sessions.
To sum up:
Most website visitors come from search engines.
SEO helps you acquire more of that traffic.
It hardly addresses SEO in Affiliate Marketing.
Michelle has never depended much on organic traffic to her own blog, as she admits:
Advantages and disadvantages:
· Information quality is not bad.
· Ease of course taking.
· Video or Audio – None of that, just reading.
Looking at all the facts I have to say Wealthy Affiliate has more detailed training available.
There are lots of video presentations and live classes that Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing does not offer.
The training at Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing is rather basic and there is only reading material.
This site has many newcomers who cannot assist you, unlike WA where there is a community of specialists.
See the chart above for further details on the WA features missing from Affiliate Marketing Made Simple.
