You can improve your site’s performance by learning the skills I will cover below.

You may already be using some of these advanced techniques (welcome cultivate), but I am confident you’ll find at least a few new ideas to try.

Assume you’re working on the existence of the location of “you’ve had” resources available to help with the implementation.

Even those working on newer or smaller projects should incorporate these elements into their plans for success.

So, let’s see what advanced SEO tips I found.

1. Upgrading Older Content

It’s easy to jump right into creating new content as part of your content strategy, but most websites can improve and modernize existing content first.

It takes time for new content to rank and drive traffic.

It’s rare for a piece of content to rank immediately at the top of the SERPs.

Wish it were that simple:

But if you improve existing content, you can earn quickly (both in terms of ranking gains and traffic).

But where do you start updating existing content, and why should you care?

If you review previous content, look for two ways to improve it.

* Google Search Console performance data

Out of Date Content:

Content can easily become out-of-date without your knowledge.

Outdated content is less relevant to a search query.

Content that previously performed well may begin to lose visibility over a metre.

In such cases, updating content to reflect current knowledge and trends can help you regain lost ground.

* Updating 2020 uprights to 2021

* Replacing old details with newer

This may not be related to your evergreen content.

If your announcements are loosing visibility due to industry trends and tactics, double check your content.

Improving existing content with performance data

Open Google Search Console and go to the pages’ performance report:


You can see all the search queries and their associated data for a URL here.

Sort the counter by prestige and filter to show calls on page 1 or lower.

From here, you can see all the search queries that are triggering marks on your non-top pages’.

After you’ve filtered, sort this to show the queries with “the world’s largest” impress first.

These are close-up keywords.

Improve your content to focus on these and you’ll see an increase in visibility and traffic.

The main reason these keywords don’t score higher is that they aren’t adequately covered on the page.

Take advantage of the data to inform and improve your business.

It’s a strategy that works well if you give the queries’ intent to your website.

2. Create topic clusters:

If your website isn’t already based on topic clusters, you should consider it.

But, what are topic collections exactly?

Topic assembles are a collection of content linked to and from a pillar page.

Topic gathers keep books on your site by focusing on a single topic.

Visualizing them makes them easier to comprehend.

Topic gathers help you group information with thematic relevance and expertise.

Think of it like this…

A single piece of content about a subject or topic on your website does not automatically make you an expert.

But an entire collection of linked content that shows the topical connection?

That’s another game.

A topic cluster structure can save time and money, especially when migrating hundreds or thousands of pages.

The days of ranking for single keywords are long gone.

Building topic collections is a great way to think about grading for topics in 2022.

3. Conduct a content audit and remove underperforming content:

Your website’s pages’ must all have a purpose!

To ensure your content is useful, you should actively seek to remove (or improve) non-performing content.

You can use a material review to find the sheets that are holding back the rest of your blog posts.

In our SEO checklist, we strongly advise reviewing your content.

Time spent rolling a content examine and snipping thin, duplicate, or low-quality content is vastly underrated.

Creating a spreadsheet that allows you to pinpoint which URLs aren’t performing.

After you’ve audited your site’s content, you’ll be assigned a number from the table below.

* Maintain (Page is performing, no actions needed)

* Enhance (Make revises and improvements to see the page accomplish better)

* Combine (Two or more pages’ are consolidated into a single sheet, with any that are removed 301 redirected)

This should be done once or twice a year depending on the volume of content published.

4. Address Keyword Cannibalization Issues:

Most people think keyword cannibalization occurs when two or more blogs target the same term.

But that’s false.

In fact, as our template specifies.

A site’s pages’ optimised for the same keyword will not rank equally.

Keyword cannibalization is intentional.

This occurs when two or more sheets target the same intent.

You can have multiple pages’ optimised for the same keyword, as long as they target different intents.

One may be transactional, while another is informational.

But common indicates that your site has been possible to these issues that need scrutiny.

  • Your rankings keep fluctuating
  • You’re struggling to improve a keyword’s position
  • The wrong URL ranks for a page

To view cannibalization issues by keyword or sheet, note changing URLs or arrangements.

  • Deleting and 301 redirecting cannibalized pages’
  • Cannibalizing cannibalized pages’
  • Re-optimizing pages’
  • Coalescing and consolidating pages’

5. Internal Master Linking:

Internal linking is one of the most underrated SEO strategies.

To get new backlinks, we SEOs often rush to get them before we check on the existing ones.

Improving internal linkage based on your site’s most visited pages’ is one effective action.

These are your website’s most powerful tie-in sheets, with the most citing domains linking.

You can use these to link to other pages on your website that is related to this association.

Consider linking these sheets to topically related sheets that need a boost in organic visibility.

This strategy should be used frequently when launching new content.

6. Featured Snippets Optimization:

Recently, Google announced that sites that rank #1 and also receive the Featured Snippet would no longer receive double organic leans.Google-serach-engine

Prior to this update, you could theoretically combine the position zero (rare snippet) and the No. 1 discerns.

This is no longer the case, and the snippet will only be shown on the first page.

Despite this, most SEOs should still optimise for featured snippets as it allows them to outrank all other organic indices.

7. Resolve 404s:

Links to 404 pages on your site aren’t helping you rank.

He just dismissed them.

A lot of authority links often point to dead sheets that were killed off over time and never redirected.

Use the SEMRush Backlink Analytics Tool to find these pages’.

Run your arena through the tool and click the’ Target URL Error’ casket under the’ Indexed Pages’ invoice.

These are links to dead sheets that no longer have any power ( PageRank).

You can fix these issues by relaunching the sheet or using 301 redirects.

8. Steal 404s from Competitors:

This is an opportunity for skilled SEOs to clear up.

This their own faults and hard-earned links while simultaneously stealing competitors’ links that redirect to 404 pages’.

Then run your competitor’s domain via Backlink Analytics to see all their 404 links.

So call out and provide your own URL as a replacement if you have (or are generating) material that matches the competitor’s original article.

While indicating a permutation, you’ll help the webmaster fix broken outbound ties.

It’s often a win-win situation.

9. Extend Your SERP Site with FAQ Schema:

If you’re already on top, you should look into tactics to boost your visibility and push competition down.

See how the second and third schedules take up space?

The FAQ schema markup is driving that.

With FAQ schema markup, questions you answer in your content appear directly on the SERPs.

It’s a strategy worth considering if your blogs include a Q&A section.

Even if you already rank most of your blogs, you can push your competitors off the first page.

10. Review Your Log Files:

Many SEOs have never looked at their log files, but this is an advanced strategy worth considering.

This is where analysing log files come in handy.

* Shows you where (and how much) crawl fund is being used

* Helps you diagnose crawl errors

You can use this data to make changes to your site that will help Google crawl it more effectively.

Logfile analysis helps you understand how search engines crawl your website and any issues they encounter.

Then upload your site’s log file (found in the “/enters/” or “/access log /” folder on your server).

In competitive industries, you need to go beyond basic SEO techniques.

  1. This article was an extremely helpful tutorial on advanced SEO for me as an online business owner with multiple websites where we are posting content on a regular basis. I can see that some solutions you suggest are easy to implement while others may be more time-consuming and not quite so easy to get done.

    Is there a priority for addressing these tasks that you would recommend? That might help the poor souls like me that want to get the most bang for the buck so to speak. I mean that if there were 4 to 5 tasks that could make 80% difference, I would focus on these and do the rest as I have time.

      Then I would write a list of what I wanted to do next and tick it off as I have gone and Implemented the task.  

      This always helps me to get things done if I have a list and tick off the tasks completed.

Where have you been all my (blogging) life??  It’s easy to create content, not so easy to make the front page of Google.  I have just recently learned some of these things and I’m currently going through my posts to ensure internal and external links are present and working properly.  I’m also using a new format for recipes, which requires transferring the information to the new format, deleting the old post and publishing the new post.  It is also valuable to take the time to read them though because I have found mistakes and sentences that don’t make sense (what was I trying to say here?) I try to do one or two a day and the response in organic traffic has been immediate.  

    I’m wondering how I can tell which pages are underperforming?  Is there a place to look that up?

      You could go to Google Analytics where you can find out all about the articles you have on your website. 

      I go there quite frequently to check out my performance on my bogs and it helps me to improve them. 

      I am glad that I could help you and I have to update a lot of things myself as well and get ready for 2022.

      It is also a good idea to change all your articles to 2022 if they have the year 2021 mentioned in them otherwise Google looked on to them as outdated articles. 

      Example: How to Make Money in 2021. I have changed it to How To Make Money in 2022

      Then you have to Google Search Console and click on Inspect URL follow the prompts now Google knows that you have updated your blog. Now you are all good to go.

      You can get a lot of information from Google Search Console about your pages/blogs also.
